Research notes (unverified)

First T2 Mac. Apple T2 chip. The SSD controller, audio, FaceTime camera and ambient light sensor are reached through the T2 bridge (apple-bce binds on real Linux machines).
Booting a non-Apple OS requires Startup Security Utility (in Recovery) set to "No Security" and "Allow booting from external or removable media". The Broadcom Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip needs Apple's firmware files.
10Gb Ethernet (Aquantia AQC107, atlantic driver) is standard. Two Alpine Ridge controllers drive the four Thunderbolt 3 ports.
Real machines show the Radeon Pro Vega 56 (1002:6867) and Vega 64 (1002:6860) as different chips; the later Vega 64X has no probes.
